Medieval stone bridge

A medieval stone bridge and part of a second stone structure have been identified during excavations in Worcestershire. The bridge will have crossed a substantial ditch and is likely associated the extant remains of a medieval boundary wall, forming an important entrance way into the enclosed grounds. Wooden stakes and the remains of medieval leather shoe have been found beneath the bridge.
