Milton Keynes Walkaround

Approximately 20 local residents, including members of the Wolverton and District Archaeological and Historical Society and the Milton Keynes Heritage Association, were led on a guided tour of recent excavations in Milton Keynes.

The tour was followed by a presentation from Janice McLeish, Senior Manager at our Milton Keynes Post-Excavation Facility, of artefacts unearthed on the site. Following the “walkaround” the group visited Border’s in-house Palaeoenvironmental Facility, where our osteologist, Dr Catherine Sinnott, gave a talk on osteoarchaeology and the human remains unearthed during the excavation. The day provided an important opportunity for the Milton Keynes community to interact and engage with their local heritage
