Our Expert Witness Team has a proven track record in support of planning applications at both Appeal and High Court hearings.

With a detailed knowledge of Planning Policy regarding the Historic environment at both national and local level, our Heritage Experts work closely with landowners, developers, architects and private individuals to build a robust case in favour of development.

Generally speaking, the majority of our case work in these matters relate to the provision of planning appeal evidence against refusal of formal Permission.

What does it involve?

Acting as an appointed Expert Witness on behalf of either individual or joint instruction clients, our Heritage Consultants: usual methodology is as follows:

• Examine previous case documents in forensic detail.
• Compile additional cartographic and documentary research.
• Undertake a detailed site visit.
• Provide a thoroughly researched, soundly based and cogent proof-of-evidence document for presentation to an appropriate forum
