We have a new starter in MK
We would like to welcome Thomas Bowers MA into our Environmental Science department as a Trainee Environmental Science Assistant, here is a little about Thomas in his own words
“I studied Archaeology at Bangor University and The University of Leicester. I am excited to be part of the Palaeoenvironmental Science Team at Border Archaeology. I have a keen interest Roman and environmental archaeology. Other areas of interest include WW1 & WW2 conflict archaeology. In my spare time I volunteer with the Imperial War Museum contributing to the National War Memorials Register as part of a team aiming to record every war memorial in the UK. The register includes memorials to members of the armed forces, civilians and animals from all the conflicts and to those who died in service. I also volunteer with the Commonwealth War Graves Commission, part of the Eyes On Hands On project, I monitor 5 cemeteries in Leicestershire ensuring the casualties that have CWGC memorials have their graves maintained.”
